Baby swimming with Water Babies is an exciting, enriching experience for both you and your little one. Not only does it teach vital life skills, but it also enhances the way babies and toddlers learn other skills, too. No one else reaches our high standards of professionalism, and no one else works harder to make sure you and your little one feel happy and safe. And we always incorporate lots of bonding, fun and socialising, so you can be sure that a Water Baby is a happy baby!
Classes across Staffordshire & East Cheshire are run by Anna Bates, who was introduced to water as a baby by her dad, a one-time swimming instructor and lifeguard. Her mum’s also a keen sportswoman, and she’s represented England in the over-50s squash league.
When Anna couldn’t find swimming classes for her first son, Jack, she decided to leave her job in healthcare sales and start her own! Now these things always take time (lots of specialised training and so on), so we’re really hoping Jack managed to sneak into a class when his mum first started teaching back in May 2007!
Anna now has two other children, Henry and Molly (who started swimming at just 17 days and 8 days respectively). "Swimming has definitely given all my children a love of sport," she says. "They've now added rugby, horse riding, climbing, dance and cricket to their list of sporting achievements. And, of course, they're all still keen swimmers!"
The wonderfully enthusiastic Lucy, Shelly, Sarah, Jane, Laura and Emma keep the office running smoothly while a team of highly qualified teachers - Denise, Sharn, Aimee, Lynsey, Emma and Claire - completes the Water Babies crew.
They’d love to hear from you, so why not give them a call? Or check out the banter on the Water Babies Staffordshire Facebook page.
