Baby swimming with Water Babies is an exciting, enriching experience for both you and your little one. Not only does it teach vital life skills, but it also enhances the way babies and toddlers learn other skills, too. No one else reaches our high standards of professionalism, and no one else works harder to make sure you and your little one feel happy and safe. And we always incorporate lots of bonding, fun and socialising, so you can be sure that a Water Baby is a happy baby!
Classes across Manchester South are run by David and Vicki Oldfield. A synchronised swimmer in her youth, Vicki went on to pursue a career in child and adolescent mental health nursing, but her love of water never left her and when son William was born, he took his first dip with Water Babies when he was just a few weeks old.
Meanwhile David, a primary school teacher, took the parenting reins when he became full-time Daddy Daycare. But a chance conversation with William’s Water Babies teacher led to him becoming a baby-swimming teacher himself. So it was no surprise that Emily (born in the bath at home and delivered by David with the midwife knocking on the door!) had her first introduction to a real swimming pool when she was only 5 days old.
Swimming is a big part of Oldfield family life. “Water Babies has brought so much fun, enjoyment and confidence to our own children,” says Vicki, “and we see it as a privilege and pleasure to watch other babies blossom, too!”
They’d love to hear from you, so why not give them a call? Or check out the banter on the Water Babies Manchester South Facebook page.
