Baby swimming in West Midlands
Walsall - Sutton Coldfield - Birmingham - Solihull - Tamworth - Lichfield - Burton Upon Trent
It’s little wonder Cathy Wright is so lovely – coming, as she does, from a British version of the Waltons. Growing up on an idyllic nature reserve, Cathy spent her childhood horse-riding and genning up on physics – the family obsession. Happily the latter stood her in good stead for meeting her own Jon-boy at University. Two small atoms formed a loved up molecule when they bonded at the student union bar.
It was more than just an interest in the potential for water displacement that had these proud parents attracted to baby swimming when they took young Lauren to her first class at four weeks. So impressed were they that within two terms Cathy had left her job in IT to re-train as a Water Babies instructor for Liverpool (where, during her training, she was described as having 'all the best qualities a Water Babies instructor should have'). Gorgeous baby Sophie is the latest water baby to join the family and will soon be following in her big sister's slipstream!
Within a year Jon was also slipping into blue lycra to join her in the water when in 2007 they made the move to the West Midlands to start their own classes. Here, no doubt, their huge sense of fun will be as greatly appreciated by new friends as it’s sadly missed by everyone in their former home town.
The wonderfully efficient Laura and Lynsey are the friendly voices found answering the office phone and a team of fully-qualified instructors (all brilliant and most having completed the course with their own children) completes the Water Babies crew.
